Mira stood in the kitchen area, staring at Zoey who was standing right in front of the stove, eyes locked on a pot of boiling water on one of the plates as she stirred its contents.

“You don’t think you’ve cooked enough yet?”

 

Zoey snapped out of her daze, turning around to face her. “Mira! I’m making spaghetti, do you want some?”

“Yeah, I could tell.” Mira’s eyes moved across the counter, taking in the numerous bowls, full to the brim with pasta. “Were you planning on feeding our fans too?”

“Was I what?” Zoey looked around them, seemingly finally realising just how much she had been cooking. “Oh.”

Her eyes flitted between the pasta she had already cooked and the pasta on the stove. “I… got worried about not making enough for all of us and kinda… just kept making more.”

“It’s fine, if we get too much left over we can just put it in the freezer.” She looked down into one of the bowls that Zoey had clearly already mixed sauce into. “I didn’t know we had that much spaghetti in the pantry, though.”

Zoey’s nervous giggle drew Mira’s eyes back to her. “I uh… might’ve had some delivered when I started running low.”

Mira’s eyes narrowed. “How much is ‘some’?”

 

She followed Zoey’s eyes to a large bag standing on the far end of the counter. It looked ready to burst. When she looked back at her, Zoey had a sheepish smile on her face. “At least we won’t have to buy any more for a while?”

Mira shook her head, a fond smile on her lips. “At least there’s that.”
